First, I would like to use this platform as an outlet for casual conversation. My intentions are to share insights to my personal life. I want to share recipes, cleaning tips, my Amazon finds, updates about myself/my family, my experiences and journeys, and more. I want this environment to feel like a safe space for others to relate and confide in me and my blogs. I am no professional writer or poet by any means, but I want to use this platforms to express myself in the truest form and hopefully inspire someone.

Hi. My name is Mackenzie. I’m a 20 year-old college student living my best life with my fiancé and two dog babies (I respectfully own the title as “Dog Mom”). Being an undergrad student consumes most of my life. Thankfully I’m an online student and can adjust my own schedule, but trying to do that can be challenging sometimes.

Aside from pouring all my energy into my degree and being a full-time dog mom, I have quite a few hobbies. I enjoy cooking, cleaning, crafting, organizing, and knitting, just to name a few. I have never been one to enjoy the outdoors, however, this last summer I tried something new that opened me up for more outdoor activity opportunities. I tried rafting for the first time. My fear of water that you cannot see the bottom of or that goes over my head when I touch the bottom nearly convinced me to sit this one out. Truthfully, I thought I might die. Although I am obviously very much alive, I did encounter a close experience when my tube was stuck on a rock and nearly flipped me into a sea of more deadly rocks. I think I doubled up on my Buspar that day. Other than that one experience, I have went out of my comfort zone to engage in outdoor activities, and I have enjoyed them so far.

Another very interesting fact about myself is that I run my own small business. I own an LLC, and I completely own and operate the entire business by myself. This includes, but is not limited to, photography, website management, social media manager, customer service representative, and I create the products I sell. I make/sell phone cases with a major variety of designs. My original intentions were to expand to an online boutique, but I enjoy the setup I have now.

I am a total homebody/home-soul (hence the name). I enjoy staying inside my home where it’s safe and comfortable. It can be hard sitting at the house all the time, but with all the activities I do and hobbies I have, it’s not hard to keep myself busy.

This blog will keep me busy, but, I hope that it reaches others that are like me.
