This recipe is my husband’s favorite. I’m not a huge beef fan, but this meatloaf recipe is nearly irresistable. This recipe was one of the first ones that I taught myself while I was learning how to cook, so it’s super easy and makes an amazing homemade meatloaf. I usually pair this with macaroni, mashed potatoes, or green beans, but there are lots of different side dish options for this meal.
Prep time: 15 minutes
Cook time: 1 hour
Ingredients:
- 2 lb ground beef
- 1 cup milk
- 1 egg
- 1 cup crushed Ritz crackers
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 1 teaspoon salt, pepper, and garlic powder
Beforehand, preheat your over to 350 degrees. While it’s preheating, mix together all the ingredients in a large mixing bowl. It’s easier for me to use my hands for this process to make sure every ingredient is evenly distributed, but a large mixing spoon will do just fine.
After the ingredients are combined, spray a 9″x5″ loaf pan with olive oil or butter spray or line the bottom with aluminum foil. I prefer lining the pan with aluminum foil to make the cleanup process easier. Dump the mixture into the pan and spread evenly. Bake at 350 for one hour.
