Honey Garlic Pork Chops

I am always searching how to incorporate honey and garlic into my recipes. This recipe makes the sweetest pork chops I have ever tried, and only requires a few ingredients!

Prep time: 5 minutes

Cook time: 12 minutes

Servings amount: 2 servings

Ingredients for pork chops:

  • 3 – 4 boneless pork chops (3 preferred for more accurate nutrition information)
  • salt & ground pepper to taste
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tbsp mined garlic
  • 1 tsp parsley

Ingredients for honey sauce:

  • 2 1/2 tbsp honey
  • 2 tbsp warm water
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp apple cider vinegar
  • 3 dashes cayenne pepper

Begin by seasoning both sides of the pork chops with the salt and ground pepper. Heat a cast iron skillet (preferred), or a nonstick skillet on high heat. Add the vegetable oil and half of the melted butter to the skillet. Add the pork chops and fry on each side uninterrupted for 3-4 minutes or until golden brown.

While each side of the pork chops are browning, mix together all the ingredients for the honey sauce and set aside. After the pork chops are finished browning, make room in the skillet to add the rest of the melted butter and minced garlic. Brown the garlic for 10-20 seconds. Pour in the honey sauce and reduce heat. Cook on medium-low until the sauce thickens. Spoon sauce over the pork chops to retain flavor. Serve.
